NOAA Solar Position Algorithm

VastuScore uses the NOAA Solar Position Algorithm (SPA) — the same algorithm used by astronomers, architects, and solar engineers worldwide. Given your exact geographic coordinates (latitude/longitude) and the current date, we calculate the true sunrise azimuth to within 0.0003 degrees accuracy. This ensures that when we determine "East" for your property, it's the actual astronomical East based on where the sun rises at your location, not just a compass approximation.

Multi-School Consensus Scoring

Rather than following a single Vastu tradition, VastuScore cross-references multiple schools: Classical Vastu (Mayamatam, Manasara), Vedic Vastu (Sthapatya Veda), and regional variations (South Indian, Rajasthani, Bengali). Each room receives a verdict from each school, and the final score reflects consensus — giving you the most balanced and accurate assessment possible.

AI Room Detection

Our computer vision AI analyzes your floor plan image to detect rooms, doors, windows, and structural elements. It identifies room types (kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, etc.) and maps each to its compass position relative to your indicated North direction. This automated detection is then validated against Vastu principles for each identified space.

11-Dimension Scoring

Every property is scored across 11 key Vastu dimensions: Main Entrance, Kitchen/Agni Sthana, Master Bedroom, Children's Rooms, Pooja/Prayer Room, Bathrooms/Toilets, Living/Drawing Room, Dining Area, Staircase, Water Elements, and Overall Plot Shape. Entrance (Dwar) Defects

The main entrance is the "mouth" of the home through which energy enters.

South-West (Nairutya) Entrance
